Series Of Pelvic Fracture High-Risk Cases Successfully Operated and Recovered by Our Trauma Team

Pelvic fractures resulting from high-velocity road traffic accidents are among the most critical surgical emergencies in acute trauma care. The pelvic ring is in close proximity to major vascular bundles and internal organs; prompt intervention during the "Golden Hour" is essential to prevent hemorrhagic shock.
The Clinical Approach at Manur Hospital
Upon arrival at our 24/7 Trauma Emergency, the patients were immediately stabilized using our acute resuscitation protocol, consisting of pelvic binder application, rapid fluid and blood product administration, and fast-track digital imaging.
Our orthopedic trauma team led by Dr. Vishal Huggi and surgical intensivist Dr. Md. Mustafa S. P performed anatomic plate osteosynthesis and percutaneous iliosacral screw fixations in our laminar flow operation theater.
15-Bed ICU Recovery and Rehabilitation
Following surgical stabilization, continuous hemodynamic monitoring and early deep-vein thrombosis prophylaxis in our 15-bed ICU allowed the patients to mobilize early with customized physiotherapy. All patients made a full ambulatory recovery without neurological deficits.
